Glossary for Geospatial Science

hull: A hull is the two dimensional area for which a TIN is generated.  Within the hull, including its edges, the Z value at any X-Y position can be interpolated.  A hull is convex when all lines that connect two points on the hull boundary fall entirely within the hull.  A hull for a U-shaped area, for example, is not convex.
