A reduced cost Special Academic License (SAL) for TNTmips Pro is also available to university and college departments.
A professional license for TNTmips, TNTedit, TNTscript, or TNTview from the TNTgis software family is enabled by a USB license key or E-license, which is available only from MicroImages or a MicroImages reseller. With TNTgis software there are no hidden modules to add on later.
Perpetual vs. Lease/Subscription
When you purchase a perpetual license you own the license for the version you purchased. There are no requirements to upgrade to the latest release version, which means you can continue to use your software even after a newer version is available. Note, operating systems released after the TNTgis release date will not be supported.
A license to lease TNTgis software is temporary and ends when the term is up. This means you must renew your lease to continue using it at the professional license level.
Single-User — USB Key Locked
When you purchase a single user license, the MicroImages Software License Key is attached to a USB port on the user's computer to enable TNTgis software to run at the professional license level.
Note, the TNTgis software may be installed on multiple computers and the single-user license hardware key can be moved from computer to computer. While using TNTgis software at the professional license level the hardware key must be attached to the computer running it.
Electronic / Cloud License
An E-license (electronic license) works similar to the USB key except that the license validation is done over the Internet instead of using the local key. For this reason a reliable internet connection is required while the software is running. An E-license is activated with a serial number.
Floating License — USB Key Locked
A floating license supports multiple users on a network. When you purchase a floating license, the MicroImages Software License Key is attached to a USB port on a network computer that serves as the License Manager and runs the license manager software. Users running TNTgis software on machines connected to the network will automatically check out a license (if available) to run at the professional license level.
* The number of users who can check out a license at the same time (concurrent users) depends on the number of licenses (seats) your key has.
Perpetual License
When you purchase a perpetual license you own the software at that version. Keep it up to date with pre-paid annual maintenance or purchase an upgrade for licenses that have fallen behind the current release version.

Pre-paid Annual Maintenance
A new version of the TNTgis is released once per year, which includes new features and modifications. Save money with an annual maintenance to make sure your license stays up to date with the current release version.
Purchasing an annual maintenance prior to each new release saves you extra upgrade costs.

The Special Academic License (SAL) for TNTmips Pro is available to academic institutions who want to provide students with an opportunity to learn and practice geospatial analysis. Please contact MicroImages for more information on the SAL.

To confirm your order, MicroImages will send you a Pro Forma invoice so you can verify the final details and provide cost and billing details to the financial officer in your organization. When you return the signed Pro Forma invoice and TNTgis software registration form to MicroImages, we will ship your TNTgis software immediately. A copy of the shipping documentation will be sent when the system has been shipped.
