TNTedit software provides professional interactive tools to create, edit, and georeference any type of geospatial data (vector, CAD, shape, raster, or TIN) including linked data in many file and geospatial database formats. You can use any type of geospatial data as a visual reference while editing, including Bing Maps and MapQuest base map and imagery layers and any other public web layers. The Editor protects the integrity of your geodata by providing unlimited undo/redo, automatic backups, and timed auto-save while letting you save and restart editing sessions including all reference layers. See also: Editing Geodata.
TNTedit provides a subset of the capabilities also found in TNTmips: editing, display, georeference, import-export, and scripting.
Highlights
- Use context-sensitive graphic editing tools for efficient editing of geometric objects.
- Edit multiple layers, snap to and auto-trace elements in the same or different layers, and convert reference layers to editable layers.
- Edit in stereoscopic 3D with tools that follow the terrain.
- Open auxiliary 3D perspective views to assist in editing.
- Copy, cut, and paste from one geometric or raster object to another.
- Smooth lines automatically while tracing.
- Spline or simplify lines and apply global filters to remove dangling lines, bubble polygons, and sliver polygons.
- Auto-generate labels from attributes for points, lines, and polygons with control of label style, size, position, and leader lines.
- Set up database prompts to automatically create and attach a new record for each new element.
- Designate an existing record to be attached to each new element.
- Specialized tools for setting contour line values and labeling contour lines and roads.
- Create templates from any existing editable object for use in making new objects with same database structure, styles, and georeference.
View
Precisely overlay geodata layers in a variety of data types and a multitude of Coordinate Reference Systems. Include layers in a wide variety of external formats without importing. Overlay your geodata on Bing Maps imagery and maps or on geodata layers published on the Internet as web tilesets, Web Map Service (WMS), and ArcIMS.
Styling Map Data
Use the attributes attached to geometric elements to create color theme maps or graduated symbol maps for visualisation and analysis.
Spatial Databases
Create and maintain spatial data and attributes in a relational database. Link to geodata in spatial database formats such as MySQL Spatial, PostGIS, and Oracle Spatial.
3D Visualization
Full suite of 3D perspective visualization tools to aid you in viewing, analyzing and understanding your geospatial data.
Stereo View
View geospatial data in stereoscopic 3D (stereo) using a terrain layer and any popular stereo viewing device.
Georeference
Automatically generate hundreds to thousands of control points using a
reference image of the same area; manually add tie points in side-by-side and overlay display
modes using a reference image; place control points with coordinates from GPS devices.
Geodata Formats
Import and export an unsurpassed number of raster, geometric, and database file formats; convert between data types; and link to relational databases. Direct display of popular formats including GeoTIFF, JPEG2000, PNG, MrSID, ECW, shapefile, File Geodatabase, Oracle Spatial, DGN, TAB, DXF, DWG.
Custom Processing
TNT's powerful geospatial scripting language, SML, provides a wide range of options for custom display and processing of your geospatial data.
Map Design
Map design tools to layout and style electronic or printed maps of any complexity at a designated map scale.
Mix Local & Web Data
Use web-based geospatial data as a reference as you view, georeference, edit, or create local data.
View Bing Maps, web tilesets, Web Map Service (WMS), and ArcIMS layers in any view.
